Lon McEachern is an American sports commentator and the “voice of poker,” most known for his hand-by-hand commentary of the World Series of Poker on ESPN. After graduating from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Lon worked at KTMS radio before entering the television industry with KCOY-TV, later working in the San Francisco Bay Area at KGO-TV and KPIX-TV, also covering the X Games for ESPN. Lon has covered every World Series of Poker main event for ESPN since 2002, also covering for them a play-by-play of the PBA Tour, the U.S. Professional Bowlers Association’s ten-pin bowling tour, during the 2012–13 season. Lon is an avid golfer and has two children.
