Origins: Standing Up Against Hate (2015)

  • Emerged as a counter-movement to PEGIDA, an anti-immigration group in Germany
  • Leveraged influential contacts in golf and entertainment to support refugees during the European refugee crisis

Expanding Our Reach (2016-2018)

  • Organized an international charity golf tour with celebrities and golf legends
  • Formed partnerships with South African, European and American celebrity ambassadors
  • Held our first roundtable in South Africa, addressing issues like rape, farm attacks, and rhino poaching

Tackling Violence in South Africa (2019)

  • Hosted a groundbreaking roundtable on violence, reaching government officials and millions through social media
  • Explored solutions for vehicle crime, organized crime syndicates, and gender-based violence
  • Panel included Gen. Bantu Holomisa, Shadow Minister of Police Dianne Kohler-Barnard, and soccer legend Matt Booth

Adapting to the Pandemic (2020)

  • Launched PLeace Golf World, a virtual golf tournament uniting celebrities globally
  • Raised awareness about societal issues highlighted by the pandemic

Combating Gender-Based Violence (2020)

  • Organized golf events in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban to spotlight the rise in gender-based violence
  • Participated in the 16 Days Of Activism For The Elimination Of Violence Against Women
  • Addressed the alarming statistics: 42,289 reported rapes in 2019/2020, femicides every 4 hours on average

Crisis Response and Community Support (2021)

  • Coordinated medication deliveries and cleanup efforts during Johannesburg and Durban riots
  • Developed a help app for coordinating relief efforts
  • Assisted in breaking down corruption in the South African Covid Fund

Mental Health and Relationships Roundtable (2021)

  • Focused on COVID-19’s impact on mental health and interpersonal relationships
  • Featured luminaries like Prof. Thuli Madonsela and celebrities like Yvonne Chaka Chaka
  • Gained new influential ambassadors to further the cause against gender-based violence

Supporting Ukraine (2022-2023)

  • Collaborated with the Ukrainian Golf Federation to evacuate families and cancer patients
  • Organized a global interfaith prayer meeting, reaching thousands

NEW INITIATIVES

Songs 4 Peace

We are excited to launch the Songs 4 Peace music platform, which will produce music, benefit concerts, and informational documentaries aimed at countering misinformation and promoting reconciliation and hope. This initiative will leverage the universal language of music to unite diverse audiences and amplify our message of peace.

Expansion of the Help App

Building on the success of our initial launch, the Help App will be enhanced to include features for legal and psychological support during times of grief and trauma. This expansion aims to provide comprehensive assistance to individuals facing crises, furthering our commitment to holistic support.

Upcoming Golf and Music Festivals

Our calendar is filled with exciting events, including international golf tournaments and music festivals. These events will not only raise funds but also serve as platforms for raising awareness about pressing global issues.
